The beginning…
Welcome to my blog—-bear with me while I figure all this out. I’m hoping to record parts of my upcoming trip to India (Aug 3rd-26th) as well as my subsequent move to Columbus, Mississippi for interested parties. Possibly they are equally foreign destinations for some of you. Either way, I’m hoping you’ll follow along with me for some of this adventure. I’ll be uploading pictures, too, from the road. I’ve started a bibliography (bien sur!) for the trip which is around here somewhere. I’m putting up more bits and pieces as they present themselves (take a look at the Mumbai slideshow). Make a comment—-or send me an email.
More to come!

Amanda,
The site looks great, everyone check out the bibliography of books that inspired Amanda’s journey. I’m looking forward to reading tales from India (and Mississippi!). Good luck!

Amanda,
Thanks for thinking of those of us left behind as you travel the world and end up in, of all places, Columbus, Mississippi. I will follow along, hoping to see pictures of spices and food – you know I like both.

Well Amanda, Very nice setup you have for the blog and your travels. Too bad you have not been in Mississippi the last two weeks. In regards to weather, I think it would have prepared you well for your trip depending on what part of India you are going.
Little did I know when I bought my Keen sandals six months ago that I would be so IN.
Looking forward to reading future entries.
